Terms of Service

By creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use JobXMe.

The Service

JobXMe is a skills-first marketplace that connects Workers with Clients for part-time, full-time, emergency, and tutoring work. We are not a party to the agreements between Workers and Clients — we provide the platform that lets them find each other.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). By registering you represent that you can form a binding contract.

Accounts

  • You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • One account per person. Client accounts may represent an individual or a real legal entity.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Hires & Payments

  • JobXMe is free to post and free to apply. We do not handle payment between Workers and Clients — pay is arranged off-platform.
  • Workers and Clients agree on price, schedule, and scope directly. JobXMe is not a party to those agreements.
  • Future paid features (e.g. premium discovery) are billed via the App Store or Google Play.
  • JobXMe does not collect or hold funds for jobs.

Subscriptions

Worker premium tiers (Boost, Pro) and consumable contact-reveal credits are managed via Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancellation is done through the relevant store per its policies. No pro-rata refunds for partial periods.

Conduct

  • Be honest about your skills, experience, and availability.
  • Show up on time. Communicate if plans change.
  • Complete the work you agreed to.
  • Treat the other party with respect — harassment, discrimination, or threats are grounds for termination.

Prohibited Activity

No fraud, misrepresentation, harassment, illegal services, regulated substances, weapons, adult/sexual services, MLM schemes, or content that violates third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove jobs or applications that violate this policy.

Reviews

After a contract is completed, both sides may leave a 1-5 star rating with optional comment. Reviews are public on profiles and feed search ranking. Defamatory, off-topic, or retaliatory reviews may be removed.

Off-platform Payment Disputes

Because payment happens off-platform, JobXMe cannot mediate financial disputes between Workers and Clients. We can review behavior reports and act on accounts that violate these Terms.

Taxes

You are responsible for your own taxes. JobXMe does not issue tax forms because we do not handle payment.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations, with or without notice. You may terminate at any time from Settings → Account.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobXMe is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or the amounts paid to us by you in the prior 12 months.

Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified via email or in-app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
