Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data JobXMe collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.

Information We Collect

  • Account info: name, email, phone, avatar.
  • Profile info: bio, skills, headline, location, hourly rate (for workers).
  • Job postings: titles, descriptions, budget, location, urgency, skills required (for clients).
  • Device & usage: device ID, browser, app version, IP address, crash logs, analytics events.
  • Location: with permission, approximate or precise location for job matching.
  • Content: messages, applications, reviews.

How We Use It

  • Operate the platform: matching workers and clients, search, messaging.
  • Prevent fraud and enforce Terms.
  • Improve the product via analytics and A/B tests.
  • Send transactional notifications.
  • Marketing, only with your opt-in consent.

Legal Bases (GDPR)

  • Contract performance — running the service for you.
  • Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, product improvement.
  • Consent — marketing, precise location.
  • Legal obligations — tax, AML.

Sharing

We share data with the other party in a transaction (e.g., your profile to a client reviewing your application) and with service providers: Supabase (hosting), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Sentry (error tracking), PostHog (analytics), Expo (push). We do not sell personal data.

Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or delete your data from Settings → Account.
  • Export your data — requested via Settings → Account → Export my data.
  • Opt out of marketing at any time.
  • GDPR and CCPA rights with region-specific procedures — contact privacy@jobxme.app.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. After deletion: soft-deleted for 30 days, then permanently deleted except where retention is legally required.

Children

Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Security

Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access controls and regular audits. No system is 100% secure — you use the Service at your own risk.

International Transfers

Data may be processed in the US and other jurisdictions. We use standard contractual clauses where required.

Cookies

JobXMe Web uses essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session) and a small set of localStorage entries to persist your filter preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Changes

Material changes will be notified via email or in-app.
