ACCOUNT MANAGER GERMAN MOTHERTONGUE LEVEL

Our Company Client is a leading provider of strategic advice and shareholders services to corporate clients around the world.   The firm provides corporate boards and executives with strategic advice and services relating to a broad range of activities, including: mergers and acquisitions, annual and special meetings, shareholder activist initiatives, multinational cross-border equity transactions and debt restructuring services.  From headquarters in New York and London, and offices and partners in major capital markets, The Company serves more than 700 corporate clients in 40 countries, including many of the world's largest multinational corporations. In addition to listed and private companies, its clients include mutual funds, ETFs, stock exchanges and membership associations.

 

Position Overview:

The Account Manager acts as the lead point of contact for client in the German market on Proxy Solicitation and other related projects.  This individual is responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring client campaign deliverables and objectives are executed in an accurate and timely manner.  The Account Manager needs to understand client needs and be able to anticipate issues and provide solutions. Clients are generally C-Suite members including Investor Relations officers, Company Secretaries, and Company Directors, including the Chairman and CEO.  The Account Manager is not only responsible for managing existing clients but also works with the Business Development team to identify new business opportunities.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Corporate Law with an exceptional performance record
  • Knowledge and experience in Capital Markets, Corporate Governance Advisory, Proxy Solicitation, Investor Relations and Financial Communications (5-7 years' experience)
  • MBA or other related graduate degree preferred
  • Solid data and finance analytical capabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good relationship-building skills
  • High customer service ability and ethic
  • High ability to work in a team
  • Demonstrated confidence and balance under pressure
  • Proven leadership capabilities
  • Ambitious and committee to excellence
  • German mother tongue and excellent English communication skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge in Bloomberg, FactSet, Thomson Reuters preferred

Specific Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with clients across a specified region
  • Leverage data and analytics to provide trusted advice and support to clients on shareholder advisory matters including proxy solicitation, M&A, governance, ESG, executive compensation and capital markets intelligence
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Manage multiple projects and operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your accounts
  • Leverage marketing materials to create board level presentations
  • Conduct analysis on top investors' voting policies and practices
  • Prepare reports on account status, ensuring that client campaigns objectives are met and executed accurately, efficiently and responsively
  • Support the firm's business development efforts to identify prospective client needs and demonstrate the value proposition
